Relocation to the Permanent Site

Thoroughbred Schools has announced plans to relocate all of its operations from the current temporary site on Awgu Street Abakaliki to its purpose-built permanent campus, beginning with the September 2026 academic session. The decision follows a Parents-Teachers Forum (PTF) meeting, where the school’s Director explained that a health facility has commenced operations within the unused section of the current premises. In line with Ebonyi State Government regulations, schools are not permitted to operate within the same facility as a hospital. Parents at the meeting unanimously supported the relocation, citing both compliance and the advantages of the new site. The permanent campus, already approved for educational use, is expected to provide a more spacious and conducive learning environment for pupils. School management also assured parents of a smooth transition process, with measures in place to support students as they move to the new location.

Odumosu Schorlarship for the Indigent and Intelligent

Thoroughbred Schools has unveiled plans for its Odumosu Scholarship for the Indigent and Intelligent (OSII), aimed at supporting academically gifted pupils from financially challenged backgrounds. According to the school’s management, the scholarship program will be open to both current pupils of Thoroughbred Schools and students from other institutions who demonstrate strong academic potential but lack the financial means to access quality education. Successful candidates under the OSII scheme will benefit from a full tuition waiver throughout their level of education, offering a significant opportunity for bright students to thrive without financial burden. The application process is set to begin on July 6, 2026, with a non-refundable application fee of ₦1,000. The scholarship test is scheduled to take place on August 23, 2026, at the Main Hall of the Thoroughbred Schools Permanent Site, located off the Enugu–Abakaliki Expressway. School authorities noted that the initiative reflects their continued commitment to educational inclusion and excellence, ensuring that no talented child is denied access to quality learning due to financial constraints.
